Unplugthewood Acoustic Open Mic & Jam is a regular all in jam session at various locations, (see events page) using projected songbooks with chords and lyrics. Most songs are easy enough for any beginner who knows three chords. We promote a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and also encourage tip and trick sharing.
We have limited open-mic spots available during the sessions, a good opportunity for you to show us what you've got. No pre-booking required, just let us know on the night and we will always try to accommodate you.
We do have a PA and can "plug-in" acoustic based instruments.

UNPLUGTHEWOOD OPENMIC...
The Unplugthewood open mic sessions provide an opportunity for people to gain experience performing to a live audience without having to go through the process of getting normal music gigs, which is very difficult to do without experience of live performance.
if you do come down to play make sure we know you are there and we will always try and fit you on, we may have to limit the amount of songs if it is a busy night
UNPLUGTHEWOOD JAM
For those players who do not feel ready to get up on the stage, we have jam along sessions of around 950 very easy songs, tricky chords have been simplified where possible to allow even beginners to join in.
